Installation Aids

To build your system with the greatest ease and highest quality, Andrew Solutions offers a complete selection of specialized tools. These include drill-actuated cable preparation tools and hand preparation tools for connector attachment, grounding kit tools, open-end and torque wrenches, and other hand tools for cutting and preparing cables.

Grounding

Grounding kits divert transient currents from lightning off the transmission line to an earth grounding system to prevent damage to cable and radio equipment. A typical wireless RF system installation uses three grounding kits: near the top of the main feeder cable, at the bottom of the main feeder prior to the horizontal run, and just prior to the cable entering the building or shelter.
